Man Denies Attempting To Have Sex With A Motorbike

There may be some among you who already know what mechanophilia is. For those of you who don't, I'll explain.

Mechanophilia is a sexual attraction to machines. This covers a wide range of things. For example, some people may be sexually attracted to cars, ships, aeroplanes... it can also include robots but let's not get too much into that.

In some places, mechanophilia is considered a crime. The UK is one of those places with those convicted being placed on the sex-offenders register. To be fair, this seems a little odd as it's not hurting anyone but hey, it's the law so fair enough.

Kevin Chapman, of Ashford, Kent, has been accused of exposing his genitals and attempting 'sexual manoeuvres' with a Suzuki motorbike. He's alleged to have also punched and kicked the same motorbike in Canterbury, Kent.

He denies the allegations.

The incident apparently took place on March 27, however Chapman insists that he does not remember indecently exposing himself. He says that he had something to drink and had overdosed on that day. He is now reportedly receiving treatment.

He will face a trial at Folkestone Magistrates Court on June 13.

Another man made headlines a while back after claiming to have had sexual intercourse with over 1,000 cars. Edward Smith, from Washington, US, spoke on This Morning about his attraction.

"I began an interest in the beauty of cars when I was turning just 15 years of age,

"It woke something up inside me."

When asked about when he'd go out to try and find a car he was attracted to, he said: "I look back on that thinking that was pretty risky business,

"But that's the history, yes. I cannot deny there were a number of neighbourhoods that... a lot of them were like car lots."

But how exactly do you have sex with a car? He explained: "It has to do with the body itself. I'm not really attracted to any sort of, may I say, penetration.

"It is hugging and holding the shape of the car close to me and actually talking to it a little bit. And then of course, the rest is just physical satisfaction - masturbation is, I guess, the word."

"It is done with the car, by the car - next to it."

He's now in a relationship with one car, Vanilla. They've been together since 1982. "On my own private property where I live is where we get mostly intimate and I'm very careful and respectful not to be seen in public because this is private - like any other kind of love affair between a couple," he explained.

He has another 'partner', Ginger, a Ford Ranger. However he insists that Vanilla is very 'forgiving'.
