Angry Pet Owner Stops Dog Thief By Flipping Van Before Having 'Machete' Fight

A determined pet owner risked his life when he chased a thief's van before deliberately colliding with it, causing the van to topple.

It's a well known fact that some pet owners will do pretty much anything in their power for their furry friends. Even Simon Cowell jumped on the band wagon when he offered a £10k ($13,431) reward to reunite a two-year-old boy with his stolen pooch.

But one man has, arguably, gone a step further by pulling a full blown James Bond chase out of the bag when his dogs were stolen.

The determined guy, who has remained anonymous, didn't have a financial reward to offer. Instead he reportedly risked his own life when he chased a thief's van in his car before deliberately colliding and causing the van to lose control and topple over.

They should teach that shit to pet owners far and wide.

The CCTV footage shows one of the suspects climbing out of the van and fleeing on foot, while the other remained trapped inside.

It didn't end there either, because the unnamed pet owner pulled out what looked like a machete or metal stick and started fighting the remaining thief - who was trying to escape.

A tussle between the dog owner and the suspect, who was holding a wooden club, lasted several moments. He should have known his quest was up by this point.

The incident took place on a street in Shanwei in Guangdong, China, on Monday, according to the police.

It is believed that the suspect has been detained by the police on suspicion of theft.

Luckily, the devoted pet owner managed to save all of his three dogs. Imagine if he did all that for nothing.

According to reports, the suspects had stolen two of the man's dogs while he was at home. They allegedly dragged the animals into the moving car by lassoing them. And here's me thinking that only happened in films.

According to MailOnline, when the man reviewed his home security footage, he realised his pets had been dragged into a van by a man.

The owner immediately called the Luhe Police before driving his car to chase the suspect's minivan.

The suspect was captured by police officers with the help of the pet owner and bystanders.

The MailOnline reported that police confiscated the tools believed to be used to steal dogs, including lassos, a rod, a hammer and a butterfly catcher. They also found four fake number plates in the suspect's van.

It is unclear whether the dogs were to be killed and sold to a meat market or resold as pets.

Take note, dog thieves - don't try to split up a man and his best friend.
