Good news dog lovers - a company is looking for a 'chief puppy officer' to help look after some adorable pooches all day and it sounds like the best thing in the world. You can see more about the role here:

Online pet gift shop Yappy.com is on the hunt for a chief puppy officers to look after the teams' dogs while they work.

And if that doesn't sound dreamy enough, the role comes with a pro-rata £24,000 salary.

According to the website, the chief puppy officer's duties will include ensuring the pups are 'happy, entertained, comfortable and safe at all times', working with the dogs to provide key market research on new items and products and providing the canines with the best toys, treats, play and relaxation as required - sounds pretty good to me.

Yappy has a list of requirements for the perfect person, which unsurprisingly includes being 'dog obsessed', alongside that you'll need to be experience in handling dogs with 'an instinctive understanding of their needs'; an 'expert' level tummy tickler; and fully committed to looking after the office dogs and their needs.

The job advert reads: "If your dream is to cuddle, stroke and play with dogs all day AND get paid for it, then our 'Chief Puppy Officer' role may just be the dream job you've been looking for."

It goes on: "It's a hard job but someone has to do it - from playing with our dogs and ensuring they're entertained and stimulated, to tickling tummies, offering endless strokes and catering for their every need, it's essential that the hired CPO is prepared to offer puppy love on tap from 9 'til 5."
