Do you think your dog would up to the task?

Do you ever sit there, scrolling through social media and spot the plastered-on, fake smiles of influencers and think 'my dog could do a better job than this'?

Well now is your pooch's chance, because one the good folk at Snaptrip are looking for two very special 'furrfluencers' (that's their word, not mine).

Reckon your dog has got what it takes to be an influencer?

Snaptrip, an online marketplace for last-minute cottage getaways, is giving two very good boys or girls the opportunity to go on all-expenses paid trips to cottages up and down the UK to review them - with the help of their human owners, of course.

Sounds good, eh? If that's not enough to tempt you to offer up your dog's service, you'll also get paid for it, too; and let's face it - it's about time that furry little freeloader started paying his way, isn't it?

The furrfluencers will be sent on 10 trips to a variety of dog-friendly cottages over the space of a year.

Naturally, in order to give a decent review, the dogs will be expected to try out the pet-friendly facilities as well as check out the local area.

A job description states that the properties being reviewed will be rated on criteria including 'dog enjoyment, dog practicality, access to local walks and dog-friendly establishments like pubs and garden spaces'.

In return, you - the human - will be expected to write up a minimum-500-word review, because your dog can't type and you'll also need to send in some photos of your dog enjoying his or her stay. Well, you can hardly claim your dog is an influencer without a bunch of Insta-friendly photos, can you?

You'll earn £300 for each review - on top of the free trip.

Interested? Well, there's a couple of eligibility rules. Snaptrip is looking for a dog that 'must be comfortable travelling', which is kind of a given. Dogs must be in good health and either six months to three years old, or four to 10 years old.

Your pooch must be 'comfortable in front of the camera and photogenic' and 'have an eye for detail and impeccable taste'.
