Heartbreaking footage captures the moment a motorist abandoned a dog at the side of the road and drove off.
In the clip, the driver can be heard revving the car's engine and pulling away from the side of the road after seemingly dumping the poor pooch.
The driver then speeds off while the confused pup attempts to chase the vehicle.
In the background a voice can be heard to say 'look' as the dog chases the vehicle.
The incident, which was filmed on 15 August in the Colombian capital Bogota, has sparked outrage after it was shared online.
It's not clear what happened to the dog after the clip cut out and, as yet, animal protection groups in the area have not commented on the incident.
However, under Colombian law harmful acts and cruelty against animals that do not cause death are punishable with fines of up to 43.9 million COP (£8,860).
In June, the Colombian congress approved a bill to combat animal abandonment that establishes, among other measures, the creation of animal welfare centres around the country.
According to the Institute for Animal Protection and Welfare, over a million cats and dogs were abandoned in Colombia in 2019.
Earlier this month, a clip showing a Golden Retriever being abandoned by its owner in Portland was shared online.
In the clip, recorded by Brandon Price and Alyssa Ott, a woman could be seen getting out of her car before getting the dog out of the back.
The adorable dog began to wag his tail, as the woman walked off a short distance with him, as though they were going for a walk.
However, she then turned back and ran towards the car and drove off.
Thankfully, the dog was taken in by rescue centre I Paw'd It Forward that said it would ensure the dog was safe and looked after.
Blasting the woman's actions, the rescue centre wrote: "THIS. This is what a dog that has just been abandoned looks like. They are still here. They are still waiting. They are still searching for you to return. They are confused.
"They do not understand why the humans they devoted their lives to have disappeared."
