When a dog called Tay-Tay lost his back legs in an awful traffic accident, no one was sure if the poor little pooch would walk ever again.

But the brave animal wasn't going down without a fight - he proved everyone wrong and built up his strength to the point where he could move around on two legs, refusing using a wheelchair to get around. OWCH, MY HEART.

Now Tay-Tay is a rather happy doggo hopping around the animal shelter in Chonburi, Thailand, where he lives.

Footage of the happy little canine walking around the shelter on his two front legs is currently warming hearts all over the Internet.

In the video, Tay-Tay is wandering freely around the shelter and being looked after by the owner.

He's been a full-time resident there for the past four years and the owner says she won't put him up for adoption because he's so happy there.

The dog even captured the attention of the country's reigning monarch King Rama X after Watchdog Thailand, a foundation for dogs in need, posted a photo online.

"The King himself had taken Tay-Tay under patronage and donated dog food along with the royal gift of a wheelchair in the name of his royal pet dog Khun Fu," said freelance journalist Julian Küng, from Zurich, Switzerland, who captured the footage.

"His Majesty even sent a wheelchair-expert to examine the dog's need for a walking aid. Dr. Gewalin Surakup came to the conclusion that the legs of Tay-Tay are strong enough so a wheelchair would be inappropriate for the dog.

"It's amazing to see that the dog is still capable of eating, walking and even running when he wants to. He didn't lose his curious nature neither.

"Every now and then he tries to run out of the shelter. Since he's not able to turn quickly and escape the busy Chonburi traffic the owner Peerapha has to catch Tay-Tay and return him to the shelter."

I don't know about you, but that's my feels done for the day. Puts all those times you've felt sorry for yourself after grazing your knee into perspective, doesn't it?

Still, this brave little doggo overcoming such a huge obstacle is inspirational stuff. Tay-Tay, we salute you.
