Kangaroo And Two Joeys Spotted Wandering Around Fields In Nottinghamshire

Kangaroo And Two Joeys Spotted Wandering Around Fields In Nottinghamshire

Strewth!

In a completely unexpected turn of events, a kangaroo and two joeys were reportedly spotted in a quiet corner of rural Nottinghamshire yesterday.

Whilst it isn't exactly clear how they managed to end up there, one thing is for certain, they are seriously lost.

The quiet market town of Bulwell was shocked to learn of their adventurous antipodean visitors when the local police force shared a picture of the mysterious animals on Facebook.

Yep, there it is.

Bulwell, Rise Park and Highbury Vale Police wrote: "G'day Bulwell, this picture was taken this morning in Bulwell, I think you're thinking what I'm thinking and I think we might be right mate.

"There's a Kangaroo in Bulwell and we believe she has two Joeys in tow.

"They were seen hopping around on the old pit site this morning. So if you see Red, Skippy or Joey bouncing around near you give us a ring."

Given the rural nature of where they've turned up, this is probably the kind of thing that will be spoken of for years to come.

It's better than the regular claims that people make regarding big cats - panthers, jaguars, and the like - in their area, because it's not a load of tosh.

Since the original Facebook post went out, it has been shared more than 1,200 times and received a whole bunch of (largely joking) comments.

OK, so it's not this kangaroo, but you get the idea.

One internet wag said: "Sod the Aussy trip, let's nip here to see a Kangaroo."

Another commented: "Just seen it hop out snapewood shop with two cans of Stella."

A third offered: "I see a German Shepherd, could be an alligator. Would have to go look for myself lol.'

Unfortunately, that's about as much information as we've got to give right now. The police updated their post with a tongue in cheek response, writing: 'We've looked into this report and nothing's jumping out at us - but if you see anything out back, hop to it and let us know!'

Anyway, as strange as this may all seem, it gets even weirder.

Recently, residents of a French town saw an honest-to-God panther actually prowling around their streets and rooftops.

This isn't one of those grainy photographs purporting to be some sort of big cat in a place where it ain't supposed to be. This was the real deal.

It is thought that this particular panther was an escaped pet as it was domesticated and had clipped claws.

Eventually the authorities managed to tranquillise it and take it to a zoo.

When you look at it, it is actually quite cute. Dangerous, but cute.
