Lidl Will Be Selling A Pet Sun Bed For The Upcoming Heatwave

It's fair to say that, whether we like it or not, summer 2020 is going to be unlike any summer we've ever experienced before.

But one thing that Covid-19 won't change is how difficult hot weather can be for our pets - it can be uncomfortable for our furry friends when the temperatures start rising, which they've been doing more and more in recent years.

In fact, parts of the UK are meant to be experiencing a heatwave this week, with temperatures in some places expected to reach 31 degrees. That's hot for humans, so imagine how it feels if you're covered in fur.

Thankfully, whether by coincidence or design, Lidl's Pet Week begins on June 25th - that's this Thursday - and the supermarket chain will be selling a pet sun bed to keep your animals cool as things hot up. What's more, it costs less than £20, which is an absolute bargain.

Yes, it provides shade, which is always a good start when trying to avoid the sun, and will protect your furry and fluffy friend from our nearest star up to UV50.

But its raised design goes one step further by providing ventilation, which will add to their relief from the warm weather. And when things cool down a bit, you can even remove the sun shade.

And if you really, really want to treat your pet to a luxurious summer experience - because you know they deserve it - Lidl are also offering a Dog Pool for just £29.99. It's got a non-slip base and there's no inflation required, so you can set it up easily and watch your pooch reap the rewards for being man's best friend.

Get both items, and your pet will surely feel like they're on holiday. After all, just because most travel plans are going to be up in the air this summer doesn't mean that your pets should suffer too. And if you get really desperate, you could always try to fit in either the sun bed or the pool. That's probably a bad idea, though...
