Loyal Dog Spends 80 Days Waiting At Spot Owner Died

I hope you're ready to cry your eyes out, as I share with you the story of a faithful dog who has spent the last two months waiting on the roadside for its owner at the spot she was tragically killed.

Every day since 21 August the dog, from Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, has turned up at the same spot and waited patiently for its owner.

A video showing the dog sat at the roadside in the middle of the night has been shared online and has racked up more than six million views so far.

Speaking to China News, Guo Xinhua, a taxi driver, said: "It's been nearly three months now. The dog is always there, rain or shine. It's so touching."

He went on to say that several locals had attempted to give the dog food but that it was scared and ran away every time someone came near.

However, it would always return to the spot later. Bloody hell, is someone chopping onions?

Naturally, since sharing the clip online social media users have rushed in to express how moved they were by the loyal dog, with one writing: "Sometimes dogs are more faithful than humans, really."

Another posted: "I'm in tears!" You and me both, pal.

But others were concerned for the poor pup. "It's so dangerous for the dog to be lingering on the road," one post read. "I hope someone would give this little pooch a new home."

Try not to worry too much, though, as according to local reports, charity Blue Hada is on the case and is currently reaching out to the late owner's family.

Earlier this year, another loyal pooch hit headlines after he refused to leave his owner's side when she collapsed in the street.

In the heartwarming clip from July this year, the woman can be seen lying on the ground, while her devoted golden retriever sits at her side.

As the woman is placed on a stretcher and carried away, the dog jumped up onto his hind legs and followed her into the ambulance.

Paramedics decided the easiest thing to do would be to allow the dog to ride along with them to the hospital.

According to local reports, once at the hospital, the dog sat outside while the docs did their thing. What a cutie, eh?
