An adorable little kitten managed to get himself out of a shelter and on his way to a brand new home after shouting out to a woman who arrived to pick up a dog.
Reddit user psychicflea arrived at the sheltered to pick up a German Shepherd and transport him to his new home.
But as she walked into the lobby, she heard loud mewling and yowling and decided she had to go and check out who was making such a noise.
Posting the clip, she explained that due to the coronavirus visitors were advised not to touch the animals, which which she said just made the cute kitty's mewling louder.
In the sweet clip the tiny kitten can be seen desperately crying out for attention with his little paws soaked as he walks through his water dish to get up close to the bars.
He pushes his face through the bars as he calls out for some attention.
After seeing the eager little dude - who she has nicknamed Paw-varotti due to his loud mewling - the woman decided she couldn't leave him behind.
Writing on Reddit, she explained: "He was a singleton and for a kitten, that's tough!
"I quickly posted him to several rescue groups I transport for but at the last minute I decided, just adopt him and deal with it later.
"Luckily I had an extra crate with me."
That definitely was lucky.
The woman went on to say that within half an hour of posting about the kitten a rescue centre had already found a new home for him.
She went to explain that she would keep the kitten herself 'in a heartbeat', but that she doesn't want any of her cats to outlive her.
The woman adds that her house is already pretty full of kitties with 'several rescue senior cats' and 'a bunch of feral kittens' that she is fostering.
So, for now, little Paw-varotti will stay with the woman until his quarantine period is over and then he'll go into foster care.
When he's old enough to be neutered before eventually going to his forever home.
She added: "The rescue already has folks lining up for him so he should have it made!"
So there you go, sometimes it pays to make a fuss.
