Eloise Roberts wanted to give an exciting twist to her reading of a book about two unicorns, but wasn't quite banking on what happened

A nursery teacher was left in stitches after a storytime video she filmed for her young pupils was ruined... by two amorous horses getting in on in the field behind her.

Eloise Roberts, 32, is one of many teachers currently having to conduct lessons virtually as lockdown continues.

With Eloise's nursery only open for reduced hours, the teacher has been using her time to create fun videos and projects to keep the children entertained while they're stuck at home.

One day, she was inspired to take things outdoors - deciding that, instead of filming yet another video of herself reading a book on the sofa, she would take advantage of living next to the horse riding school run by her partner Steph Smith, 29.

Eloise asked Steph to film her reading Pop-Up Peekaboo! Unicorn, a book about two playful unicorns, giving an exciting twist to the story by shooting the video in front of the field where their horses - Sarsons, six, and Anakin, five - live.

The only thing is, that exciting twist wasn't quite the one Eloise had been after - though she was completely unaware of the drama going on behind her until Steph burst out into laughter.

In the amusing footage, Eloise turns around to see what's caused Steph's giggles, only to see Anakin mounting Sarsons in a rather x-rated display of affection.

Eloise and Steph tried to film the book reading twice with Sarsons and Anakin, but after two failed attempts they finally had to give in and use a different field as the setting.

While Eloise couldn't share the explicit video with her kids for obvious reasons, she did post the clip on Facebook for her friends and family, who found the clip hilarious.

Eloise, of Moreton, Merseyside, said: "I was trying to do a little video for the kids, something different instead of being sat inside on the sofa, but the horses had other ideas.

"Anakin only got gelded last year so he still can be a bit frisky but I was still not expecting that.

"The whole time they'd been out in the field they hadn't been doing that then as soon as I started reading they started. They must have been bored of my story.

"I could see Steph laughing and I could hear that the horses were up to something behind me.

"I didn't want to stop reading to look but as I did I burst out laughing too. We tried to film it a second time but they just kept doing it. It was hilarious.

"Obviously I couldn't share it on the nursery page because it's not so appropriate for the kids but I decided to post it on my own Facebook and people have loved it.

"Everyone thinks it's hilarious and my friends have been messaging me to tell me they just keep watching it. Everyone needs a laugh at the moment."
