Woman Grabs Tiger's Testicles As She Poses For Photo At Zoo

A woman posed for a snap at a zoo while grabbing hold of a tiger's testicles. Nope, I don't know why you'd do that either.

The woman had visited the Tiger Kingdom zoo in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand, where - like many other tourists - she posed for selfies with the animals.

In photos and videos shot at the zoo, she can be seen smiling into the camera and cuddling into one of the very docile tigers, who seems completely unbothered by her being there.

However, unlike the other tourists she also reached into the big cat's enclosure and cupped its testicles before taking a photo.

After the woman, who has been named as Waraschaya Akkarachaiyapas, shared the photos online she was met with a backlash from animal-lovers who accused her of 'humiliating' the tiger and putting herself at risk from the big cat attacking.

One person wrote: "This is so rude. The tiger did not allow you to touch his privates. You have no right to do that."

While a second considered the safety aspect, adding: "This is dangerous. If the tiger had reacted angrily it could have attacked you."

Other said they felt sorry for the animal.

Akkarachaiyapas has since attempted to defend herself and says she is an animal-lover... which might not be the best wording under the circumstances.

Tiger Kingdom head of zoo keepers Pirom Cahntama said his staff are trained to ensure the animals and the guests are safe.

He said that tourists were monitored while in the zoo to ensure their photos were done in a safe way for both themselves and the animals.

Cahntama said: "We do not allow tourists to grab the tigers' testicles but they are allowed to touch any part of the animal's body as long as our specialists are present.

"From now on, we will make sure that no visitor will ever be able to touch this part of a tiger's body again."

He went on to say that zoo specialists regularly examine the tigers, including their genitals, while doing routine health checks.
