Boss Goes The Extra Mile And Builds Employee His Dream Home After He Is Diagnosed With Terminal Cancer

Boss Goes The Extra Mile And Builds Employee His Dream Home After He Is Diagnosed With Terminal Cancer

What a guy.

Unfortunately, not everyone will always see eye to eye with their boss.

Some may never even get to build a relationship with their boss, as life in the work place differs completely to life outside of it.

Addam Smith is clearly not one of those bosses.

Once he'd heard that an employee of his, Keith Ellick, had been given only a small amount of time to live, he went the extra mile to make sure his remaining days were seen out properly.

Keith was diagnosed with terminal cancer and was told that he had only as little as a year left to live. Addam set up a GoFundMe page so Keith could put his affairs in order, see a leading cancer doctor, and gathered a team to help build Keith's dream house.

Keith, who was overwhelmed by the effort made, appreciates what the gesture means for him and his family.

He said: "The house looked like a show home inside. I can't thank Addam and everybody else enough. We are truly humbled by what they have done for us."

Addam originally posted in a closed Facebook group called Builders Talk Group, a place for gardeners, builders and plumbers, and recruited 50 volunteers from the group.

He said: "One of the first things he said was, 'I haven't even got the money for a funeral'. He wasn't worried about himself, he was worried about his family."

You can watch all of Addam and team's efforts in the video below, as well as the finished product.

So far the fundraising page for Keith has raised well over £21.5k.

I think you'll all join me in sending many well wishes to Keith and his family, as well as much adoration for Addam and his team.
