A few months ago, news of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's divorce shocked celebrity gossip columns all over the world.

I say gossip columns because hey, it's another celebrity marriage down the pan. No biggy, right?

However, not long after that Amber Heard claimed that Depp had physically abused her during their marriage, to the point where she had to divorce him. Many people were in shock. Depp had always seemed like a happy character. But this news seemed to expose him in a much darker light.

Obviously, loads of people jumped to his defence. Captain Jack Sparrow? Willy Wonka? They couldn't believe it.

We don't know exactly what happened in their marriage. And of course, Depp is innocent until proven guilty.

However, that being said, a new leaked video obtained by TMZ does certainly seem to lend itself to confirming Amber's point of view. The footage was supposedly filmed by Amber and seems to show Johnny storming around the kitchen of their family home absolutely fuming about something while Amber apologises for some unknown infraction.

It is important to point out that a source close to Johnny apparently told TMZ that the video was a complete set up by Amber and was 'heavily edited' to remove shots of her smiling and egging him on. Obviously, we have no way of knowing which version of events is true.

The tape will not be permissible in court as evidence due to the fact that it has been edited and also that Johnny didn't know he was being filmed.
