Adele Had X-Rated Response To Suggestion She Got 'Revenge Body'

The singer has made it abundantly clear that this was not the motivation behind her weight loss.

Adele offered up a very X-rated response to suggestions she had got a 'revenge body'.

The singer and her husband Simon Konecki separated in 2019 after more than seven years together, with their divorce finalised earlier this year - and some people put two and two together and assumed this breakup may have triggered her dramatic weight loss.

But Adele has made it abundantly clear that such an assumption makes 'an ass of u and me'.

Asked about reports she'd adopted special diets to shed the weight - during her first interview in five years, at the Cooper Hewitt museum in New York City - she told Vogue: "No. Ain't done that. No intermittent fasting. Nothing.

"If anything I eat more than I used to because I work out so hard.

"And also, that whole thing of like, 'Gets Revenge Body'... Oh my god. Suck my d**k!

"It's ridiculous. I think it's that people love to portray a divorced woman as spinning out of control, like, 'Oh she must be crackers. She must've decided she wants to be a ho.'

"Because what is a woman without a husband? It's b******t."

The 15-time Grammy winner wowed the world when she shared a photo on Instagram in May 2020, in which she thanked people for their birthday wishes - and revealed her stunning physical transformation.

The 33-year-old spends the majority of her time out of the public eye, and as such the snap attracted huge attention, amassing more than 12 million likes.

"I think one of the reasons people lost the plot was because actually, it was over a two-year period," she said.

The 'Hello' singer said her 100lb weight loss actually came about for mental health reasons.

She said: "It was because of my anxiety. Working out, I would just feel better. It was never about losing weight, it was always about becoming strong and giving myself as much time every day without my phone.

"I got quite addicted to it. I work out two or three times a day."

Elaborating on her exercise regimen, she said: "So I do my weights in the morning, then I normally hike or I box in the afternoon, and then I go and do my cardio at night.

"I was basically unemployed when I was doing it. And I do it with trainers.

"It's not doable for a lot of people."

wThe star - who is now making a much-anticipated musical return - went on to explain that she didn't share her 'journey' on social media because it was never about other people; she did it for herself.

She said: "I needed to get addicted to something to get my mind right. It could have been knitting, but it wasn't.

"People are shocked because I didn't share my 'journey'. They're used to people documenting everything on Instagram, and most people in my position would get a big deal with a diet brand.

"I couldn't give a flying f**k. I did it for myself and not anyone else. So why would I ever share it? I don't find it fascinating. It's my body."

She added: "People have been talking about my body for 12 years. They used to talk about it before I lost weight. But yeah, whatever, I don't care.

"You don't need to be overweight to be body positive, you can be any shape or size."
