Abbie Quinnen has been told to avoid sunlight on her skin for the next two years after she suffered third degree burns while filming a social media hack video.

The 23-year-old was filming a video with her boyfriend AJ Pritchard, in which she attempted to cut a bottle in half with a flaming rope.

Abbie was engulfed in flames and rushed to hospital where she underwent three skin grafts.

The Sun reports that as part of her recovery, Abbie has been told to avoid sunlight and has had to completely revamp her wardrobe, which she admits has been 'really hard'.

Abbie shared one of the first pictures of her face following the accident last week.

She said: "Since I was little, people used to always say what a pretty girl I was.

"As a dancer, so much is about how you look, and so for my face and body to be so badly burnt, that was really hard to deal with.

"My wardrobe was full of crop tops, little vests, dresses and bikinis, and now I have to wear a compression vest for two more years. I can't expose my skin to the sun.

"The laser treatment to reduce redness is painful and it makes your skin go black for a few days before it starts to take effect. So I have to think about dressing differently, buying lots of roll-neck tops.

"The first thing AJ bought me was a Burberry bucket hat to cover my face from the sun. That was so sweet but it also made me cry."

Abbie has been forced to buy clothes that cover her skin so that she is left with as little damage as possible.

She added: "I can't dress to show off my figure now; I have to dress to hide and protect myself.

"I don't go out without high-factor sun cream in foundation and lots of make-up to cover the redness over my face.

"I have to drink lots of water and eat lots of protein to help my skin recover."

Abbie was following a YouTube tutorial which was showing people how to craft a vase from a wine bottle using a flame.

The process involved dipping a rope in to a flammable chemical before wrapping it around the bottle and lighting it.

According to reports, Strictly Come Dancing star AJ ended up putting the fire out after watching Abbie become engulfed in flames.
