Terry Crews' Brooklyn Nine-Nine castmates have come out in support of the star after he testified about sexual assault at the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Crews, who previously claimed he was sexually assaulted by Hollywood exec Adam Venit, was praised by his co-stars for his testimony on toxic masculinity and sexual assault.

"The assault lasted only minutes," Crews told the Committee. "But what he was effectively telling me while he held my genitals in his hand, was that he held the power."

Following his powerful speech, co-stars, including Andy Samberg, have thrown their support behind Crews.

Samberg told the Associated Press: "We have a cast text chain and we were all texting him how incredible it was.

"He's a miracle. Terry's the best guy. I am proud to know him."

After Crews went public with his claims last year, Adam Venit was placed on temporary leave. Los Angeles Police Department said they wouldn't be charging Venit because 'it was beyond the statute of limitations'. Venit denies the claims.

Speaking to Good Morning America about the alleged assault, Crews said: "I'm looking at him, and he's basically staring at me.

"And he's sticking his tongue out, and it's overtly sexual kind of tongue moves. I'm sitting there like, it's a party, it's packed, the whole thing, and I'm looking like, is this a joke?

"I don't understand, it was actually so bizarre, and he keeps coming over to me and I stick my hand out, and he literally takes his hand, and puts it, and squeezes my genitals. I jumped back, like, 'Hey! Hey!' and he's still licking his tongue out, and all this stuff and I go, 'Dude, what are you doing? What are you doing?'

"Then he comes back again. And he just won't stop! Then I really got forceful, pushed him back, he bumps into all the other party-goers and he starts giggling and laughing - and let me tell you, I have never felt more emasculated, more objectified. I was horrified."

Sadly, after Crews bravely came forward with his claims he was attacked by some for not 'standing up' for himself during the alleged assault.

Among his critics was rapper 50 Cent, who took to Instagram to mock Crews. The actor responded by saying: "I prove that size doesn't matter when it comes to sexual assault." And 50 Cent deleted his post.
