Ant McPartlin and wife Lisa Armstrong ended their 11-year marriage at a 30-second hearing today.

The couple, who got hitched in 2006, announced their separation in January this year after a 23-year relationship.

Forty-two-year old Ant and Lisa, 41, were granted a decree nisi at the Central Family Court today, with judge Alun Jenkins taking just 30 seconds to authorise the decision.

The pair married in 2006.

Neither Ant not Lisa attended the short hearing today.

The break-up played out on a very public platform shortly after Ant was arrested for drink driving.

Announcing the separation, a representative for Ant said: "In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.

"Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families.

"No further statement will be made."

At the time, a source told the Sun that the decision to call time on their marriage was made by Ant.

They said: "This was a tough decision for Ant but he has to do the right thing for his health.

"It hasn't happened overnight. They've been having problems for ages.

"The marriage has effectively been struggling for eight months. He's given it a good go.

"They've met up and spoken about it a number of times and this is the decision he has made.

"They are getting divorced. He is obviously really upset about it."

Following the news of the split, Ant was rumoured to be in a relationship with his personal assistant Anne-Marie Corbett in June.

It's been reported that the divorce was granted on the grounds of 'unreasonable conduct' by Ant 'committing adultery'.

Under divorce laws Ant would have had to admit to adultery, because he was still married - but separated - when his new relationship is believed to have began.

Court documents state the marriage had 'broken down irretrievably'.

If neither of the pair raise a case against the divorce, they will be granted a decree absolute within six weeks, meaning their divorce will be finalised.
