Azealia Banks Sparks Concern By Appearing To Dig Up And 'Cook' Dead Cat

US rapper Azealia Banks has left fans in shock after posting a video on her social media where she claims to be digging up and cooking her dead cat.

The clip, which has now been deleted, showed the 29-year-old digging something that was wrapped up out of the ground, telling followers: "The cat is in the bag."

In the caption of the post, she wrote: "Lucifer 2009-2020. My Dear kitty," she added: "Thank you for everything. A legend. An icon. Forever a serval serve."

After appearing to dig the animal up, she then apparently boiled it in a big pot with more footage of her stirring the contents together.

She shared the journey on her Instagram Stories as well as her feed, but that was also removed.

Fans were left horrified and concerned for the '212' singer, with many wondering whether this was an elaborate prank.

One asked: "Wait a minute. Azealia Banks did what???? She cooked her dead cat? Huh? WTFFFFFFFFFFFF," while another added: "Girl why are you making cat soup please?" before adding a series of crying emojis.

A third wrote: "Azealia Banks actually filmed and posted a video of her digging up her cat and cooking it. What even is 2021?"

Some people have referred to 2016, when the controversial rapper admitted to practicing witchcraft by sacrificing chickens in her home.
