Belle Delphine made $1.2 million (£880,000) in the month of November from selling subscriptions to her OnlyFans account, according to Insider.

One of the world's most popular adult entertainers, Delphine has become notorious for her controversial photoshoots, as well as stunts such as selling her own bathwater for $30 (£22) a pop online.

She announced her move onto the subscription based OnlyFans platform in June 2020, claiming that she wanted to make a 'big bag' of money, and - just six months later - it seems as if she has managed it.

Insider claim that she shared with them a screenshot of her earnings for the penultimate month of 2020, and it showed that she'd taken in $1.2 million just that month.

That's a lot of money each year if you extrapolate the figures out.

However, it's a crowded marketplace.

Twitter

OnlyFans now has more than 450,000 creators vying for subscriptions. Admittedly, not all of them are taking lewd photos in the style that Delphine is, but the 21-year-old has certainly taken to it well.

She built up an audience on Instagram by taking 'kawaii' - the Japanese word for cute - photos for her 4.5 million followers.

Once she started getting into sex work though, she was permanently banned from the platform in July 2019.

As she began her journey on OnlyFans, she was posting mostly semi-nude or censored content, but now has branched out into more explicit photos and videos.

She released a full pornography film on Christmas Day 2020 for her subscribers.

Delphine explained how she plans to 'milk' her sex work career for as long as she can, but will move to other platforms as the situation changes. She hasn't ruled out changing to something like Twitch streaming in the future.

She also issued a warning to those who believe that they can reach the same levels as her on the OnlyFans platform.

Twitter

After all, it is largely down to her previous online following that she has been able to achieve this level of financial success.

Only a relatively small number of her Instagram followers would have to pay for subscriptions to her OnlyFans account for her to be OK.

She said: "People can see me and see my numbers and think, 'Oh, she's doing really well so that means I can do really well,'"

"For every one successful girl you see, there are thousands of other girls working really hard and not earning anything."
