Bindi Irwin has shared an update showing off her growing baby bump as she and husband Chandler Powell get ready to welcome their first child.

Bindi, 22, has been keeping her followers in the loop with her ongoing pregnancy and in her latest post she could be seen with her hand on stomach while saying her 'baby girl is doing great'.

Posting to her four million followers, she said: "My beautiful mum took this photo yesterday. Baby girl is doing great. Every time we get an ultrasound she's incredibly energetic and always moving around. She's now about the same size as a mountain pygmy-possum. Too cute!"

Powell commented: "She's already growing up so fast and she hasn't even arrived yet. I love you and our baby girl." Cute these two, aren't they?

Bindi revealed they were expecting a daughter last month, posting a photo of herself and her husband with the scan photo, the TV personality put a very 'Irwin' slant on things by also including a massive tortoise in the snap.

The happy couple got hitched back in March in an intimate ceremony at Australia Zoo, after scaling back their original plans due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Posting on Instagram, Bindi said: "We held a small ceremony and I married my best friend. There are no words to describe the amount of love and light in my heart right now.

"We've planned this beautiful day for nearly a year and had to change everything, as we didn't have guests at our wedding. This was a very difficult decision but important to keep everyone safe.

"We wish all of our friends and family could have been there with us, however it's lovely that we will be able to share photos and videos.

"Right now we're encouraging the world to hold onto hope and love, which will carry us forward during this profound time in history.

"Today we celebrated life and revelled in every beautiful moment we shared together in our Australia Zoo gardens. Mum helped me get ready, Robert walked me down the aisle, Chandler became my husband and together we lit a candle in Dad's memory. We shared tears and smiles and love.

"Thankfully, since we all live at Australia Zoo as a family, we could be there for each other. To everyone reading this - stay safe, social distance and remember LOVE WINS!"
