Love Island presenter Caroline Flack has been charged with assault by beating after police were called to an incident at her north London home.
The 40-year-old lives in Islington with tennis player Lewis Burton, her partner. Authorities were called at 5.25am on Thursday after receiving reports of a man being assaulted, although police confirm he was not seriously injured.
Speaking to Daily Star Online, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Caroline Flack, 40, of Islington was charged on Friday, 13 December with assault by beating.
"She will appear on bail at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Monday 23 December.
"This follows an incident at approximately 05:25hrs on Thursday, 12 December after reports of a man being assaulted. He was not seriously injured."
Flack has been flying between the UK and South Africa while filming for the new winter version of Love Island.
She celebrated her 40th birthday recently, and has been seeing tennis player and model Lewis Burton, 27, since the summer.
In the past, she had dated a string of celebrities, including Apprentice contestant Andrew Brady, who she got engaged to briefly, as well as One Direction's Harry Styles in 2011.
She has become well-known for hosting shows including I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here Now's spin off show, as well as The Xtra Factor.
