A heartbreaking clip showing a clearly distressed Britney Spears performing with a 102F (38.8C) degree temperature, has resurfaced online as the singer begins her explosive conservatorship court battle. You can see the clip here, which fans claim points to the emotional abuse from those around her:

The video was filmed at a concert in July 2018 in Atlantic City by fan Zachary Gordon and it shows the 39-year-old telling the audience that she feels unwell and is running a fever.

In the clip, Spears can be heard saying: "It's going to be really, really hot up here - I'm warning you. I'm about to pass out. I'm sick."

She adds: "I actually have a 102 fever right now"

Spears has previously submitted court documents that claim she was forced to perform while unwell, with the unearthed clip seemingly backing up her claims.

Fans have reacted with disgust after seeing the clip, with Gordon writing: "I just thought, 'Wow, she's such a trooper and cares so much to put on a show for her fans.'

"Now I can see with clear eyes that this was a dig at the people controlling you, making you go onstage, performing under high powered lights, all while you had a high-grade fever."

Another said: "Unacceptable. Poor girl. How did she not collapse?"

While a third person wrote: ""That's horrible, not even shocked anymore at this. Poor Britney."

The clip has been shared just hours after Spears said her dad Jamie, 68, 'should be in jail' while speaking at her conservatorship hearing in Los Angeles.

Spears' personal affairs and finances have been overseen by a court-ordered conservatorship - a legal arrangement usually reserved for the elderly or infirm - since 2008.

The decision was made following a series of public breakdowns, which were played out across the media at the time.

Her father had controlled both aspects of his daughter's conservatorship until September 2019, when he stepped down from overseeing her personal affairs due to health reasons.

Since then Spears has attempted to oust him from his role running her multimillion dollar estate - a position he shares with wealth management firm Bessemer Trust.

According to The Independent, Spears told the court today (Wednesday 23 June): "I am not happy, I can't sleep. I'm so angry, it's insane. And I'm depressed.

"My dad and anyone involved in this conservatorship, including my management... they should be in jail.

"The last time I spoke to you [the judge] ... made me feel like I was dead. I am telling you again because I am not lying ... so maybe you can understand the depth and the degree and the damages... I deserve changes."

She added: "I truly believe this conservatorship is abusive. I don't feel like I can live a full life."
