Court Dismisses Lindsey Lohan’s 'Grand Theft Auto V' Lawsuit

As if she needs more time in the courtroom...

After Lindsey Lohan's incredibly long battle against the publishers of Grand Theft Auto V, the court has finally thrown out the case.

Can we first just take a minute to let this all sink in. Lohan not a defendant in a courtroom...

A New York court first came to its senses yesterday with the case that was originally filed by Lohan back in 2013. She claimed that the video game infringed on her privacy by 'misappropriating' her likeness without her consent.

The disputed graphic showed a blonde (Lohan is naturally ginger) girl wearing a bikini, jewellery and carrying a cell phone posing with a signature peace sign. Shut the front door, that's so Lohan of them.

In its decision, the court wrote that the suit fails because Grand Theft Auto V did not actually use plaintiffs' names or pictures. It went on to say that even if the court did accept Lohan's claim that the character was "close enough to be considered representations" - video games are protected as they are works of fiction, like a novel.

The decision to reject Lohan's claim also applies to a suit filed against Take-Two Interactive (owners of Grand Theft Auto) by Mob Wives 'star' Karen Gravano. Taking a panel of five judges and combining it with Lohan's complaint (because of their similarities) means that she too has lost her case, reports The Daily Dot.

There really is no more to this story. Lohan is useless when it comes to the law, on both sides of the courtroom, as a claimant as well as a defendant. Case closed.
