Kanye West's fortune has topped more than $1 billion.

According to Forbes, the rapper shared documents with the publication to prove his worth or to provide 'an authentic numeric look into Kanye, Inc.' as they put it.

The article claims that Kanye is now worth an estimated $1.3 billion (£1.05bn), however, in classic Kanye-style, the rapper is unhappy with their estimate and says he's actually worth $3.3 billion (£2.6bn).

Forbes say Kanye sent a text which read: "It's not a billion. It's $3.3 billion, since no one at Forbes knows how to count." Ouch.

The rapper and fashion designer is said to have around $81 million (65.5m) in 'building and improvements', $35 million (£28.3m) in stocks, $21 million (£16.9m) in land and a not-too shabby $17 million (£13.7m) in cash. Fancy lending me a tenner, Kanye?

He is also said to have pulled a whopping $140 million (£113.2m) from Adidas Yeezy sales - the company itself has a revenue of around $1.3 billion.

The article also claims Kanye has accrued some debts, but nothing for the billionaire to lose any sleep over.

The article states that Kanye had wanted to prove his net worth for a while and even appeared to call out Forbes for not doing sooner while speaking at the 2019 Fast Company Innovation Festival.

He told the audience: "When I did Forbes, I showed them a $890 million (£719.7m) receipt and they still didn't say 'billionaire'."

However, Forbes journalist Zack O'Malley Greenburg wrote that 'no one at Forbes remembers' such a receipt being shown to them.

He was said to be even more upset when Forbes released its annual billionaires list earlier this month and found he wasn't on it (although his sister-in-law Kylie Jenner was).

He is reported to have sent a text to a Forbes journalist saying: "You know what you're doing. You're toying with me and I'm not finna lye down and take it anymore in Jesus name."

It seems as though his absence from the list prompted him to release his financial details to the publication.

Meanwhile, Kylie was once again named as Forbes 'youngest self-made billionaire' this year with a fortune of $1 billion - meaning Kanye is $300 million richer, I'm sure he'll be delighted.
