Kanye West has paid an unusual tribute to his wife Kim Kardashian West after she 'officially became a billionaire'.

The reality TV star sold a 20 percent stake in her KKW Beauty brand to cosmetics giant Coty, in a deal which reportedly makes her three-year-old business worth $1 billion (£813,580,000).

Yeezy was clearly extremely proud of his other half for what she had achieved, so he decided to pay tribute to her as any of us would - by posting a little poem on Twitter, along with a photo of what appears to be a pepper, a green tomato, a cherry tomato and a flower.

His tribute read: "I am so proud of my beautiful wife Kim Kardashian West for officially becoming a billionaire.

"You've weathered the craziest storms and now God is shining on you and our family.

"So blessed this is still life. So I made you this still life. We love you so much."

Kim adopted a far less sentimental and much more businesslike tone when discussing why she struck the major deal with Coty.

She said: "Partnering with an established organisation like Coty will be instrumental in the advancement of my brands as their global reach allows for faster expansion so people around the world are able to experience new launches first hand.

"This relationship will allow me to focus on the creative elements that I'm so passionate about while benefiting from the incredible resources of Coty, and launching my products around the world."

Kim's hubby is already a member of the billionaires' club - though the extent of his wealth is contested.

The pair are both billionaires now it seems.

According to Forbes, the rapper shared documents with the publication earlier this year to prove his worth, or to provide 'an authentic numeric look into Kanye, Inc.', as the publication put it.

Forbes claimed he is now worth an estimated $1.3 billion (£1.05bn), however, in classic Kanye-style, the rapper was unhappy with the estimate and said he's actually worth $3.3 billion (£2.6bn).

Forbes said Kanye sent a text which read: "It's not a billion. It's $3.3 billion, since no one at Forbes knows how to count."
