Kim Kardashian Stripped Of Billionaire Status By Forbes

Forbes has clarified that she's not quite there

Kim Kardashian has been outed as just a regular multimillionaire by Forbes, who claim she isn't a billionaire yet.

Just yesterday, her husband Kanye West put out a bizarre tribute to his wife's fortune, claiming she had 'become a billionaire'.

He posted a little poem on Twitter, along with a photo of what appears to be a pepper, a green tomato, a cherry tomato and a flower - because Kanye.

His tribute read: "I am so proud of my beautiful wife Kim Kardashian West for officially becoming a billionaire.

"You've weathered the craziest storms and now God is shining on you and our family.

"So blessed this is still life. So I made you this still life. We love you so much."

And I can't even get a text back.

Unfortunately though, Forbes has publicly clarified that despite Kanye's visual masterpiece, Kim is in fact, not a billionaire.

In a post on the Forbes website, it was reported that Kim 'isn't estimated to be part of the six comma club yet'.

Not to worry though, because the publication did reveal that Kim has accumulated massive wealth in her own right, adding: "Forbes estimates Kardashian West remains just shy of billionaire status, worth $900 million."

Pfft, peasant.

Kanye's claim that his wife had become a billionaire came after beauty company Coty paid $200 million for a 20 percent stake in Kim's company KKW - leading the company to be valued at $1 billion.

However, Forbes said that when this deal closes, Kardashian West will be left with a 72 percent stake in KKW (her mother Kris Jenner has an eight percent stake) and an estimated wealth of $900 million (£724m).

Kim celebrated the deal in a far less sentimental fashion than her husband - with 100 percent less vegetables. She said: "Partnering with an established organisation like Coty will be instrumental in the advancement of my brands as their global reach allows for faster expansion so people around the world are able to experience new launches first hand.

"This relationship will allow me to focus on the creative elements that I'm so passionate about while benefiting from the incredible resources of Coty, and launching my products around the world."

Kim's hubby Kanye can rest easy, because he is still considered a bona fide member of the billionaires' club - though the extent of his wealth is contested.

And in yet another blow to the Kardashian/Jenner clan, Kim's sister Kylie is now not even the highest earner on Instagram.

She has more than 183 million followers on the social media app, that's about three times the population of the UK.

However, the 22-year-old has to settle for second place, having been usurped from the top spot by none other than Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.

Our thoughts are with the family in these dark times.
