Love Island star Theo Campbell has been left blind in one eye after a champagne cork hit him in the face.
The 28-year-old shared the news on his Instagram account alongside a photo of himself in a hospital bed, with a patch over his eye and his girlfriend Kaz Crossley leaning across him.
He was on holiday in Ibiza when the incident happened and had to be rushed to hospital after his eye 'split in half', which sounds like one of the most horrific yet glamorous injuries someone could sustain.
Sharing the photo, he wrote: "Thanks for all the messages and support I've got over the last couple days, they're all very much appreciated.

"So yeah basically 2 eye surgeries later, after a really unfortunate accident, I've lost all vision in my right eye as it got split in half, who would have thought a champagne cork would be the end of me...
"But I still have one eye left, looking at the bright side of things. Thanks for flying out to look after me as well babe. if anyone knows where sells cool eye patches let me know."
Theo also added the hashtags #captinhook (sic), #thor and #fettywap.
After sharing the snap he was inundated with well-wishes and messages of support from his fans as well as from his former Love Island contestants.
Theo, who appeared on the reality show in 2017, also posted to his Instagram stories, where he could be seen strapped up to a number of monitors while breathing into an oxygen mask. He captioned the photo: "The new Fetty Wap."

Meanwhile, Kaz shared a cute little clip of her kissing her fella with the caption: "Got him out of surgery. What are you like, babe?"
Speaking to OK magazine, an unnamed source said: "Theo was on holiday in Ibiza enjoying himself when someone popped a bottle of champagne and the cork flew into his eye.
"People were screaming when they realised what happened and saw the state of his eye. One of the guys said it looked like his eye had exploded.
"Theo was taken to hospital and we haven't heard from him since. Kaz flew out to see him and will be staying with him until he's able to leave and go back to England."
