The legendary Howard Marks aka Mr. Nice has passed away, aged 70 after losing his battle with cancer on Sunday night.
Marks became a pop culture icon for his rock 'n' roll exploits as an international drugs smuggler, many of which were covered in his classic 1996 memoir 'Mr.Nice', which was adapted for the big screen in 2010 with Marks' fellow Welshman Rhys Ifans portraying him.
Following his time in prison, Marks became an advocate for the legalisation of marijuana as well as a columnist for Loaded magazine.
