Phillip Schofield has proved time and time again that he's a total legend, but many people might be surprised to hear about what he got up to during his time as a kids' TV presenter.

In an interview with Hunger Magazine in 2013, shared by The Independent at the time, Holly Willoughby spoke to her co-presenter and pal as he gave us an insight into his wild younger days, where he experimented with all sorts of vices.

During the interview, Schofe said to Holly: "I was a lad.

"We partied a bit, but I didn't hide anything. It's just that nobody bothered to look in the right place.

"By the way, when I say 'partying', my weakness has always been booze. I never got much into drugs, because I wasn't very good at it."

He told about how he and a few mates went on an impromptu trip to Berlin after an all-day sesh in London.

"We ended up drinking vodka [and] eating caviar with a couple of East German hookers," he continued.

"We got in the car and we drove through Checkpoint Charlie with these two East German hookers, no questions asked.

"God knows what the children's television would have thought!"

From 1985, Phil worked on Children's BBC, going on to host Going Live in the 90s, before joining This Morning in 2002.

Although he's definitely toned things down a bit, Phil is still partial to a good party - he and Holly are seemingly unfazed by turning up to work somewhat worse for wear after awards ceremonies.

Name a more iconic duo.

The National TV Awards always seem to bring out the party animal in him. Last year the pair turned up for their post-NTA sesh stint on This Morning dressed in the same clothes they wore the night before.

This year was no different, as he and partner-in-crime Holly were spotted taking a hip flask into the awards do.

A video posted to Snapchat shows Phil saying, "My turn," as he takes hold of a shot before adding: "I love a bit of salt around the rim."

After necking the drink, he announces: "Oh hell, what a night. We've never done that before." Hmm, likely story.

They were both visibly pissed when they collected the award too.

The tactic of openly being a wreckhead on the job seems to work for them though, with the duo regularly winning the NTA gong for Best Daytime Show.
