This is the moment former UFC star Paige VanZant put a soldier to sleep with a chokehold. Watch the clip below:

The MMA fighter turned bareknuckle boxer shared a clip to her Instagram Stories, in which she put the guy in a chokehold before locking her arms. In just a few seconds, the soldier was out cold.

After looking up with an expression that said something in between 'lol', 'whoops' and 'oh f***', VanZant let the man slump all the way down to the floor before a fellow soldier dragged him off the stage.

According to reports, it was all part of a demonstration where she was showing how to put someone in a chokehold as another soldier held a microphone to her face.

As the 27-year-old explained to the audience, "Push down with this hand," she also asked the man: "Are you ready?" To which he seemed to give an agreeing nod.

As her arms tightened around his neck, the crowd could be heard whooping and shouting: "Don't tap."

Posting the clip on her Instagram story, VanZant wrote: "Haha whoops. Accidentally did this on a USO tour in Afghanistan," adding: "Don't try this at home."

Commenting on her move, one person wrote: "He said 'this ones for the boys' [sic]."

Another added: "Crowd yelling 'sleep him!' Why they gotta do mans like that?"

While a third smugly said: "Yea that's the point of a choke hold."

Alright - calm down, Billy big b*****ks.

Another person was quick to criticise VanZant, asking: "Why didn't she help him into a safe position after that? WTF!"

Another wrote: "Buddy woke up wondering why Paige VanZant wasn't behind him."

VanZant was released from UFC last year following a first round defeat. She then went on to sign a $1m four-fight exclusive deal with bare-knuckle boxing promotion BKFC.

She fought Rachael Ostovich in Florida late last month and lost via a decision, before taking to Instagram and writing: "Guess what b****es???!! I'm still smiling!!!

"My story is full of setbacks, road blocks and detours. But, it is also filled with major comebacks, peace in my soul and a grace that saved my life.

"I promise you this, I would endure this pain everyday of my life over the pain of regret. I am going to keep chasing my dream one step at a time. 99.9% of the people on earth would not dare do what I do.

"This story will be even better then my first."
