While most of us were restricted to watching the royal wedding from our TV, there were some people who got invited to actual thing to see it in person.
Celebrity guests to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's shindig included Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney, Sir Elton John - who also played at the reception afterwards - and David and Victoria Beckham.
After it was all over, the former England captain - who, together with wife Victoria, had made the journey to London from Los Angeles for the occasion - posted a classy note of congratulations to Harry, who he worked with in the bid for the 2012 London Olympics.

In a post that contained three pictures - one of Harry and Meghan after they were married, an old one of Harry with his brother as youngsters each holding a rabbit, and one of Harry doing some aid work as a teen - David wrote: "What a proud day for our country today! Watching Harry as happy as he was makes us all proud of the man and person he has always been...what a day!"
It's the kind of message we've become used to the footballer sharing in recent years, and it
wasn't his only act of kindness today, either.

As we reported earlier, Becks stopped to pose for a photograph with Amelia Mae Thompson, a victim of the attack at Manchester Arena on May 22 last year that killed 22 people.
The 12-year-old Ariana Grande fan was outside Windsor Castle as preparations for the big day came to a close, and the Manchester United legend was happy to divert his attention from Harry and Meghan for a few seconds to take a picture with her.
Both Becks and Victoria were dressed in classy, dark outfits for the occasion. The pair also attended Prince William's ceremony back in 2011, when he tied the knot to Kate Middleton.
