Johnny Depp Changes 'Amber Heard' Knuckle Tattoo Again

In the wake of his divorce from Amber Heard, Johnny Depp has once more changed the tattoo on his knuckles. Oh, Johnny

They - whoever 'they' are - always advise against getting your other half's name tattooed on your body, just in case things don't work out and you're left with the name of someone who hates you - or who you hate, or both - left on your skin until you shuffle off this mortal coil.

Well, Johnny Depp kind of listened to that advice, but also kind of didn't. The 55-year-old actor - perhaps best known for his roles as Edward Scissorhands and as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise - got the word SLIM tattooed on his knuckles.

What's wrong with that, you ask? Well, Slim was his old nickname for ex-wife Amber Heard, who divorced him in an apparent $7 million settlement last year.

After they split - amid allegations that he physically assaulted and abused her - he changed the L and the I into a C and a U, so that the tattoo then read SCUM.

Which wasn't very nice. Now, Johnny's gone one step further and had a red anarchy A inked over his right middle finger so that it reads SCAM. Which still isn't very nice.

The photo of Johnny's newest change - which looks more like he carved it with a switchblade than getting an actual tattoo, but that's probably the point - was taken by Tommy Henriksen, a touring musician in Hollywood Vampires, Johnny's rock supergroup with shock rocker Alice Cooper and Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry.

Johnny and Amber, who is now 32, first met in 2009, on the set of The Rum Diary, which they were both staring in. At the time, Johnny was in a relationship with Vanessa Paradis.

When that relationship ended in 2012, Johnny and Amber began dating and by 2014 they were engaged. Despite rumours of abusive behaviour, the pair got married in February 2015, but trouble continued to plague their relationship.

In April 2016, Johnny allegedly turned up drunk at Amber's birthday party and, according to court documents, 'violently shoved' her to the floor.

On 20 May, Johnny's mother, Betty Sue Palmer, died. The next day, a mutual friend called police to the couple's home after an alleged domestic abuse incident, and the day after that they separated, with Amber filing for divorce on the 23 May.
