Joe Rogan Tells Conor McGregor Told To Expect Visit From Drug Testers Real Soon

After bulking to 190lb Conor McGregor has been told to expect a visit from drug testers ‘real soon’.

Since breaking his leg in July, the 33-year-old former Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight and lightweight double-champion, has gained a lot of muscle and now weighs in at 190lbs.

American podcaster and commentator, Joe Rogan, has since joked that the UFC star should be expecting an appearance from the UFC’s anti-doping program, USADA, after his rapid bulk following a leg injury back in summer.

During his UFC 264 trilogy against Dustin Poirier, the 33-year-old broke his tibia and has since made a considerable weight after being restricted to only weight training for several months now the under orders that he needed to let the damaged leg heal through time.

The former two-weight champion has posted photos of himself at the gym, with a caption claiming that he was ‘190lbs of granite’ which has since captured the attention of the internet.

The photos of McGregor also clearly caught the attention of Rogan, 54, who has jokingly warned McGregor of an expected visit from UFC drug testers.

In a recent episode of his widely popular podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience, the commentator said: ‘That’s him now, super jacked."

He added: "USADA is going to take a visit to him real soon. It’s a weird picture. He’s definitely jacked but it looks to me he’s in the middle of lifting."

Rogan went on to analyse the Irish fighter’s newly bulked-up physique highlighting: "If you see a guy’s body in the middle of lifting, it’s a little deceptive. When you lift weights as you do it, like those bodybuilders that go on stage, they all get pumped. But he looks great."

Although ranked as No. 9 in the UFC's lightweight rankings following just one win at 155lbs way back in 2016, UFC president Dana White told ESPN: "If everything goes right with the healing of his leg, he'll be back this summer. I have no idea what the landscape is going to look like by the time he comes back."

McGregor is set to return to his usual ‘full MMA sparring’ by April next year.
