Daniel Sturridge Ordered To Pay £22,400 To Man Who Found His Dog

Daniel Sturridge Ordered To Pay £22,400 To Man Who Found His Dog

The footballer's dog Lucci was stolen following a break in at his home

Daniel Sturridge has been ordered to pay £22,400 to a man who found his lost dog in 2019.

The former Liverpool star had his beloved Pomeranian Lucci stolen when his Los Angeles home was burgled in 2019 and put out an emotional plea for his safe return.

Sturridge, 32, offered a whopping $30,000 (£22,400) to whoever found Lucci and brought him home.

Rapper Foster Washington found the pooch and returned him, but says he was never given any reward money so in May, he filed a lawsuit against Sturridge for the promised cash.

An LA court has now told Sturridge he must hand over $30,085 (£22,426) after failing to pay the reward.

Washington, whose rapper name is Killa Fame, said he felt 'let down' by Sturridge.

Speaking after the verdict he said: “Hopefully he pays up and doesn't try to appeal it.

“I'm excited about it, I've been fighting this case for over a year, I can't believe it's over.

“When we found the dog I thought my life was going to be better.”

He went on to say an arrangement had not yet been made to get the money.

Lucci was stolen after a burglary in July 2019 - at the time he shared a video to Instagram urging whoever had stolen the dog to return him.

In the video he said: "Somebody has broken into the house in LA and took my dog from the house.

"Listen, whoever knows who broke into my crib, I'll pay you anything.

"I'm dead serious. I wanna know who took my s**t. I wanna know what's went on. I wanna know why they've took my dog!

"Something has got to change, like how can you break into a house in LA and take someone's dog? You've come into a house to take a dog. Somebody please find my dog, I'll pay anything. I'm dead serious, I just want my dog back."

Offering big money for anyone who could help find his four-legged pal, he added: "£20,000 straight up. Twenty g's, thirty g's, whatever.

"Bring my dog back to this house, I'm moving out of this b***h anyway, I don't give a s**t about this place.

"Bring the dog back to this address, I'll be moving out tomorrow or the next day. I want my dog back and I'll pay whatever.

"You ain't going to get more than that anyway. And if you are let me know and I'll pay more than them. I'll pay more than them.

"Burglary happened in the last two hours apparently - three men stole my dog and four bags.

"Someone please return him. I'll pay anything."
