Disgruntled Employee 'Blows Up Warehouse' Causing $1.2Million Damage Because 'Boss Caused Her Stress'

An employee Thailand allegedly blew up an oil warehouse

A disgruntled employee allegedly blew up an oil warehouse she was working at in Thailand because her boss stressed her out. Watch the aftermath below:

Ann Sriya, 38, was seen on camera walking into the Prapakorn Oil warehouse in Nakhon Pathom province on the outskirts of Bangkok on November 29.

The woman was said to have thrown a lit piece of paper into a fuel container, which caused a massive blaze on the building where thousands of gallons of oil were being stored.

The inferno quickly spread due to the flammable material housed inside.

Dark plumes of smoke billowed out from the single-storey warehouse as more than 40 fire engines worked to extinguish the massive fire.

Firefighters also had to prevent the burning oil from spilling into a canal and reaching a residential area nearby.

It reportedly took four hours to finally bring the blaze under control.

More than 10 houses were reportedly damaged while a villager suffered burns on her arm.

That person, however, has been sent to the hospital and is now out of danger.

Officers estimated the cost of damage to the property to be an estimated a whopping 40 million THB (1.2 million USD).

Police arrested Ann, who worked as head of the warehouse, on December 1.

She allegedly confessed to committing arson and claimed she was driven by the stress her 65-year-old employer, Pipat Ungprapakorn, had caused her.

Major General Chomchawin Purthananon said: "This is the second time a fire has started from this factory.

"The woman has been working for Prapakorn Oil for nine years.

"She said her employer complained to her and caused her stress every day, and she did not expect the fire she started to cause this level of damage."

Ann was remanded in custody while police interviewed the factory owner.
