Aussie Fuming After Delivery Driver Threw Package Onto Roof

Just before Christmas...

As the Christmas crush intensifies, loads of people will be eagerly awaiting the delivery of all their presents.

If the packages don't arrive then you can rest assured that December 25 will be an awkward and sad day.

But imagine if that present did get delivered but you were somehow unable to get it - now that would be a travesty.

That's what one Aussie has experienced after a delivery driver arrived at their home and instead of placing the package in a normal, easy to reach place, they decided to put it somewhere safe. Really safe.

The Reddit user called CushionBum posted onto the social media site with a picture of their package resting soundly on their goddamn roof.

The delivery company at least left a note that said: "Sorry, your parcel is on top of the roof." How kind of them to point that out.

After posting a picture to Reddit, people were sharing their similar experiences as well as ideas on how to rectify the situation. One user wrote: "Just order another package and when they toss that one up on the roof it might knock this one down."

Another added: "Just chuck your cat up there. They like to push things off surfaces so this should be right up her alley."

When asked why the package recipient doesn't just go onto the roof to get it, they replied with: "Broom doesn't reach and when we tried to hop on roof it made a horrible dinting sound so we f***ed that idea off real quick."

It's similar to another package that was delivered to an Aussie address earlier this year.

Merryl Lloyd uploaded a picture to Facebook showing her parcel had been chucked onto the roof of her property and the postie left a pretty hilarious note.

"I accidentally threw your parcel on top of the roof, my apologies," the delivery note read.

"Maybe use a broom to get it down."

Two scenarios were likely at play: either the delivery person was trying to toss the package from a fair distance and vastly overestimated their strength or they were simply fed up with something at that point in time and took it out on poor Merryl's parcel.

It was probably the former but it would have been hilarious if the moment was caught on CCTV
