Sometimes a news story will be over inflated to exaggerate the importance of the story.
It may well be blown up out of proportion in the hope of selling more papers.
On occasions, though, the story writes itself and it really is a breath of fresh air.
This is one of those occasions.
The Mirror reported that Dutch police in Amsterdam attended a call where a lifeless woman in her underwear was thought to have been standing in a window.
When they broke into the building they found an inflatable sex doll instead.
They posted on Facebook saying that they "indeed found a lifeless woman," but she was "made of plastic and filled with air."
The police have now moved the doll away from the window to avoid any future confusion.
This is not the first time something like this has happened. Earlier in the year, police in Brighton stormed a house to rescue a man they thought may have hung himself over the stairs. It turned out to be a life-size Nicolas Cage cutout in a window.
