One of the original cast members of Pirates of the Caribbean is back - Orlando Bloom is returning as Will Turner!
No word on if Keira Knightley is coming back. I guess she has better things to do. Shame.
If you remember from the end of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Will had become the captain of The Flying Dutchman, the weird underwater ship that ferried sailors who died at sea into the next world. He got married to Elizabeth (finally) but only got to spend one day with her before his ten-year duty began.

He's beginning to look a bit crusty; his face is covered in barnacles. I guess that's just what happens if you spend all your time under the sea.
Not sure if Elizabeth Swann is going to be too impressed with that.
But despite the pretty boy losing his looks, it's still great to see Will Turner back on screen. The first Pirates film is still the best (by far) and that was down to the great chemistry between the co-leads and the fact they didn't go mental with the special effects.

And okay, so it looks like they've gone crazy with the special effects in this one, but...
The plot actually follows Will's son - Henry Turner who is trying to reconnect with his father. But of course, his father is cursed. Not only with a barnacle face but also with the ferrying of dead men to the underworld.
And so you know that Jack Sparrow is going to manipulate Henry Turner in exactly the same way as he did with Will - talk about history repeating itself - and then help him get the girl.
Of course, there's more to the plot than that - Javier Bardem plays a Spanish pirate-hunter who hates Jack Sparrow more than Simon Cowell hates low-waisted trousers and the two of them battle it out to find Poseidon's Trident and control all the seas.

Who knows how Will is involved in all of this? Maybe they can use the trident to scratch off his barnacles.
Either way - pretty excited to see this film! It's out on May 26th. Hello summer blockbuster!
