The Chase host Bradley Walsh is tipped to be the next Doctor Who companion alongside the first female Doctor, Jodie Whittaker.
According to The Mirror, Doctor Who boss Chris Chibnall has cast the 57-year-old actor, but at the moment it's yet to be officially confirmed by the BBC.

Chibnall and Walsh have previously worked together on ITV's Law & Order UK.
In recent years, the Doctor's sidekick has been a young woman, with Billie Piper and Jenna Coleman both spending time in the TARDIS.

However, from 1963 to 1989 the various Doctors had male side-kicks, including 18-year-old actor Matthew Waterhouse starring alongside Doctors Tom Baker and Peter Davison from 1980 to 1982.
A source is quoted as saying by The Mirror: "Bradley is super excited to be joining the cast of Doctor Who in such a key role.
"It means that his schedule over the coming months will be jam-packed - so he won't be able to continue with the full range of programmes he currently makes for ITV.

"But, crucially, it won't affect his role as presenter of The Chase. He loves that show with a passion and so does the audience, so he's delighted to have found a way to make it all work."

Thank goodness The Chase is safe.
The Mirror reports that quiz shows Play To The Whistle and Cash Trapped are the ones he'll be ditching. Neither of which I've even heard of.
