Comedian Sean Hughes Passes Away Aged 51

According to reports comedian Sean Hughes has passed away aged 51. The Irishman's management confirmed he'd passed.

The comic was famous for his writing, acting and stand-up, as well as featuring as a captain on Never Mind the Buzzcocks.

Hughes sent a final tweet on 8 October, writing 'in hospital' to his followers.

He had reportedly been suffering from cirrhosis of the liver and was taken to north London's Whittington Hospital.

In 1990 Hughes became one of the youngest ever winners of the prestigious Perrier award, before rising to fame on Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
