"How can we get ahead of crazy, if we don't know how crazy thinks?" asks a voice over for the Mindhunter trailer.

It's been a decade since David Fincher's last look at serial killers in Zodiac. And now he's back on his favourite subject with a new Netflix series. The trailer for Mindhunter premiered on Netflix last night but we've got until October until the series drops!

It's set in the 1970s so expect some great facial hair, bad clothes and vintage sets.

It stars Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany. The winning duo are two FBI agents who are interviewing serial killers in jail in the hope that understanding how their minds work will help out on other active cases.

Groff is best known for being on Glee and providing the voice for Kristoff in Frozen - so this is one of his first more serious roles. Holt is a good 20 years older than him and best known for bit roles on Law & Order.

Charlize Theron is an executive producer on Mindhunter - does that men she'll be on the show? Is the creepy female voice at the beginning of the trailer her?

"Imagine what it takes to bludgeon someone to death. The lust for control, the feeling of arousal..." says the voice.

We also know it's based on the non-fiction 1995 book Mind Hunter: Inside FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit.

So it might be based on real life serial killers! Whoa!

Anything Fincher does is great. Apart from Zodiac, which was also based on a real serial killer, he directed the films Seven, Fight Club, Gone Girl and The Social Network. All kick-ass films (though he didn't direct Kick-Ass).

Best comment on the trailer goes to an individual called vik_psn, who is very enamoured with the new Netflix trailer. "Netflix, stop! My dick can only get so erect".

Charming. But we kind of know what he means.
