Scrubs Cast Are Reuniting For One Night Only

JD, Turk and the crew are getting back together for a one-off appearance. There's bound to be some guy love.

It has been almost a decade since JD and the gang roamed the corridors and emergency rooms of Sacred Heart hospital - a depressing thought.

A lot has happened in those eight years since but one thing that has remained a constant is that Scrubs remains a go-to for any twenty-something struggling with the dreaded hangover fear - like a fine wine, it has aged well.

Spanning an admirable nine years and boasting over 180 episodes, the American series followed the lives of lovable medical intern JD, played by Zach Braff, who alongside his best bud Turk navigated their way through adult life, trying not to kill anyone.

And the BFFs have announced that they are getting the gang back together. For one night only the stars of the show will be reuniting tomorrow at Los Angeles cultural festival, Vulture Fest.

Zach announced the big reunion by sharing a promotional shot containing all the main cast members, on his Twitter account, which will happen in the early hours of tomorrow morning (UK time) 8.45pm ET.

After almost a decade fans will finally get to see JD come face to face once again with with his old boss, Dr Cox, who played by John C McGinley (Dr Cox), and Ken Jenkins, who starred as the curmudgeonly Sacred Heart chief, Kelso.

And of course his 'on again off again' lover, Elliot, played by Sarah Chalke, and her best friend Judy Reyes (Carla). The Machiavellian janitor Neil Flynn will also be in attendance, completing the original line-up.

Zach had previously revealed that he would be up for a reboot of the show, if the opportunity ever arose.

And over the years fans have been demanding to see Zach and the gang return to their screens.

During a Q&A with his fans in 2016, Zach said: 'You never know, it's something we all talk about. 'Especially now that all these people are going back and doing Netflix versions of their shows.

'I'm very jealous of all this Gilmore Girls attention, and Full House, so we talk about it every now and then.

'So you never know. It could happen. I'd do it.'

And earlier this year, he raised fans' excitement once again when he sat down with The IMDb Show and was asked whether he'd prefer to see Scrubs return in TV format or as a movie.

"I had a whole TV movie pitch for [Scrubs creator] Bill Lawrence," he told Tim Kash and Kerri Doherty.

"I can't tell you because it's part of my pitch, but I told him this whole pitch over dinner and he laughed a lot and said, 'We'll see, we'll see'. I think it would be fun to do a two-hour Scrubs movie - I would totally do that."

Please, do it. Please.
