A lot has been said about Warner Bros' Wonder Woman during San Diego's Comic-Con event over the past few days. Well Marvel isn't happy to let Warner Bros and DC take the limelight so it's released a shed load of trailers and new info for us all to get excited about.

It has finally been confirmed that Brie Larson will play Captain Marvel.

The Room actress had been rumoured to be up for the part for a long while but now we know for sure.

We also found out that The Vulture will play the part of the villain in next year's Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Marvel was even kind enough to share the first synopsis of the movie:

"A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Marvel Studios' Captain: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero in Spider-Man: Homecoming."

It is Marvel's TV shows that are the real focus as we are given confirmation that Daredevil will be returning for a third season. Sadly, it did not accompany the news with a brief teaser trailer.

The good news doesn't stop there though. After starring in season one of Jessica Jones, and spending the majority of his screen time shagging the titular character, Luke Cage will be getting his own series, and we were given a trailer for that.

We also got our first glimpse at Iron Fist, a show that follows high-kick enthusiast Danny Rand. After a plane crash, Rand somehow ends up in New York, so expect a Daredevil crossover at some point.

Back to the big screen and we get another look at Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange. The video depicts the first time that Stephen Strange, the neurosurgeon, meets The Ancient One, the being that mentors him in the mystic arts and sets the stage for him to become a superhero.

It's certainly a wacky looking trailer and will hopefully offer something more than the numerous formulaic origin stories that we've seen told over and over again.
