This one is for the millions of fans who can't wait for the next series of Rick and Morty.

Creators of the sci-fi sitcom have released a special treat for fans of the series, sharing a hilarious blooper clip from the famous 'Pickle Rick' episode, where, the wacky old-timer turns into a green pickle in order to avoid going to family therapy.

Shared on the cartoon's Twitter page, the three-minute clip shows Rick trying to convince his grandson that he's not trying to avoid spending time with the family.

But Justin Roiland, the man behind the voice, can't seem to make it through the scene and keeps cracking up over one line in particular, as you can see in the clip further down this article.

Unsurprisingly, fans have been loving it.

One person commented on the post: "This was what I needed to wake up to. Thanks guys, and thanks @JustinRoiland. Dude."

Another added: "It's good to know they laugh as much as we do, haha."

Since it was first aired in 2013, the cartoon has become a cult classic for adults across the world, following the adventures of mad scientist Rick, who drags his nervy grandson Morty through portals into different dimensions to go on strange adventures - much to the dismay of Morty's dad.

Put simply, it is completely - and sometimes disturbingly - bonkers.

The rest of the episode sees Rick fall into the sewer, where he builds himself an exo-skeleton made from dead animals to survive. Just go with it, this is pretty normal behaviour for Rick and Morty.

Hopefully, the clip will come as some light relief for UK fans of the show, who were left distraught this month when it was announced that the show was being taken off Netflix.

Netflix bought the rights to stream the first two series and picked up the third, showing it as part of its original series.

According to reports in the Daily Express, the first two series of the hit show were set to be axed from the streaming service.

The paper said it was because the streaming service has not paid Adult Swim to renew its license to continue streaming it in the UK.

Before the show appeared on Netflix, it was aired on FOX TV for the first two seasons, which were then available to watch on Comedy Central after season three aired on the streaming service.
