If you didn't think December could get any more exciting, hold on to your Christmas stockings because M&M's is releasing a brand-spanking new range of chocolate bars inspired by some of its amazing flavours.

The brand announced on Instagram its all-new chocolatey treats are set to hit shelves in December and will be available in five different kinds - including peanut, almond, crispy, mint and the classic milk chocolate.

The bars will be made from a rich milk chocolate all filled with mini M&M's - I'll have one of each, please.

If that wasn't enough to get us excited, M&M's has also announced it will be releasing a new flavour that's going to put Nutella fans into a frenzy.

The new hazelnut-spread flavoured sweets will feature a chocolatey-nutty spread centre covered in M&M's classic milk chocolate and coated in a colourful hard shell. Unfortunately, these won't be available until April 2019 but at least we get the bars sooner than that.

Allison Miazga-Bedrick, M&M's senior brand director, said: "We're excited to debut M&M's Chocolate Bars and know that our M&M's fans and chocolate bar lovers alike will appreciate the delicious taste that comes from our rich and creamy chocolate.

"We're equally passionate for the launch of M&M'S Hazelnut Spread Chocolate Candies next year. We're thrilled to deliver this new flavour with colour and fun, in a way that only M&M'S can."

And if all that's not enough, Mars UK has also released a huge bucket of Maltesers Buttons. The party size buckets were spotted by Instagram account @instafoodietwins down the Christmas aisle, and we can't wait to fill our baskets with them.

Although they didn't share the price or weight of the tubs, Tesco's online shop says that they are £4 for 400g - which seems like a bargain, if you ask us.

Social media users couldn't contain their excitement over the find. One user wrote: "Someone buy all these and drop em on me door step [sic]."

Another added: "Can I have 10 of these for Xmas please?" A third user tagged their friend and wrote: "So you think this bucket of buttons is large enough for us xx."

The buttons were released earlier this year alongside Maltesers Truffles. Just like the classic treat we all love, the buttons are deliciously crunchy, but have a higher ratio of chocolate to malt and are also much flatter in their shape.
