I know it's early still relatively in the month, but surely a lot of hard-working folk's minds have already turned towards the bank holiday weekend at the end of the month.

Sure, it might not be the blistering hot bank holiday weekends that we got earlier in the year, but whatever the weather, it's nice to be able to get mash-up on a Sunday afternoon in front of the football without having to worry about smelling like a brewery in front of everyone at the Monday morning meeting, right?

Well, if you want something a bit special to make sure you've got something in your stomach before embarking on a full-scale lager assault on it, Aldi have got just the thing for you.

As of next Thursday, you'll be able to get the Tomahawk steak back again.

If you don't know, the Tomahawk steak is a huge cut of rib-eye steak, served on the bone. It's huge, and - because it's Aldi - it's cheap. £12.99 per kilo, as it happens. That's a lot of meat for your money.

Why, with that much meat, you could feed a whole barbeque party, that's enough meat to wave violently at a whole vegan protest, it's certainly enough to give you sweats just from looking at it.

Anyway, that's about the cheapest price you'll get on a steak like this, so you may have to be quite quick to get your greasy mitts on one. As mentioned earlier, they'll go on sale in all UK Aldi stores as of next Thursday (23 August) so you'll have plenty of time to decide what the hell you're going to do with it by the bank holiday.

I mean, how big is your grill pan? Do you need a bigger barbecue?

If huge slabs of steak aren't necessarily your thing, you can also get your hands on some chorizo sausage whirls. Whilst - for all intents and purposes - they're fancy sausages, they could bring a certain continental flair to an otherwise washed out dreary August bank holiday barbeque

Let's face it, the heatwave might have broken, but it's still been a decent enough summer given the usual standards on these shores.

What better way to send it off than by consuming the lion's share of some sort of animal and then getting ugly-drunk in the garden outside the Dog and Duck.

You'll need to, the early Premier League fixture on that Sunday is Watford vs Crystal Palace.
