If you like a bargain, and also like drinking wine - that's pretty much all of us right now - then you could become one of 30 lucky people to become an Aldi wine taster for their 24th Aldi Wine Club.

Basically, if you're an amateur wine enthusiast, then you could be sent a set of three bottles of lovely wine to try out for yourself over a six week period, and all you have to do is post your honest reviews of the aforementioned plonk on social media under the hashtag #AldiWineClub.

Sounds like a decent deal doesn't it? Just writing a couple of honest words about wine after drinking? That's a normal weeknight for a lot of us right now.

Hey, wine does have a knack of bringing the truth out of people, that's for damn sure.

Announcing their intentions to recruit 30 willing participants, the German supermarket wrote: "Know a thing or two about your grapes? Fancy yourself as a wine expert? Well now you have the chance to have your say as we are after budding wine connoisseurs to join our new panel.

"Every three months we will select 30 burgeoning wine experts to join us on a tasting journey of Aldi's delicious wines."

"Being part of the panel means that you'll be the first to hear about our award-winning wines, and we'll send you three delicious bottles from our range to try over a six week period.

"All we ask is that you taste and review the wines in a tweet using the dedicated #AldiWineClub hashtag.

"Along with the wines, to help you with your monthly reviews we'll also send you a selection of tasting notes to guide you on everything from the aroma and body to the taste."

So, how on earth do you sign up to be a part of this?

Well, it's simple really.

Just follow the official Aldi UK Twitter account - that's @AldiUK if you're not already following - and send an email to [email protected] with your name, Twitter handle, proof of age, and 150 words about why you think that you should be awarded this prestigious honour.

Obviously, this is an unpaid role - you can't have everything in life - but if you want to get some free wine for the price of a tweet, this is pretty much your best bet.

There's some terms and conditions on the website, so go read those.

Oh, and you've only got until May 11 to put your name into the hat, so get cracking!
