Bananas are the lolly in a Party Mix that divides opinion; some people find it the nicest selection in the bag and others think it's a rank, dusty lolly that deserves to be chucked in the bin.

If you're in the latter category then please look away because you will find this latest invention disgusting.

Allen's Lollies has done it again by finding a niche and exploiting the hell out of it; this time with bananas.

But not only has the sweets powerhouse concocted a bag of just bananas, they've coated them in chocolate to appeal to more people.

Nestlé Head of Marketing Confectionery Joyce Tan said: "Allen's is a proud Aussie brand many of us have grown up with, so when we decided to make our much-loved original bananas bite-sized and cover them in chocolate, there was only one way to mark the occasion."

To celebrate, Allen's decided to pour hot chocolate all over the Big Banana in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales.

Incredibly, not only will a bag of these bad boys set you back just $4.50, but they're also gluten-bloody-free.

They'll be in Coles convenience stores and independent grocers from today.

The company has already showered us with two incredible creations this year, first with chocolate coated raspberry bites and then with Black Cats only bags.

The chocolate coated bites must be a big hit with two varieties already in 2020, which makes us think there could be a whole range by the end of 2020.

But the Black Cats were certainly a surprise. They also hit stores today, with Ms Tan adding: "We hope that it sells so incredibly well that it will be part of our range for many years to come.

"They are, without a doubt, the number one lolly that fans have wanted in solo packs. A lot of people have said they only buy Party Mix just to eat Black Cats and then give the rest away.

"We've followed the social media movement that has connected aniseed lovers nationwide, creating a unique community that are mighty, loyal and passionate about their lollies.

"We've heard their cries."

Keep 'em coming Allen's because we're loving it.
