This is as Australian as it gets.

Arnott's is a treasured company in Australia for busting out arguably the best chips and biscuits in the country.

Pretty much every workplace across this sun-blessed country has, at one point or another, had one of those assorted biccies to make everyone happy.

But they've turned it up a notch just as summer gets underway by introducing two new flavours that will no doubt spark joy and disgust from people.

Introducing the Sausage Sizzle and Meat Pie varieties.

I know what you're thinking - sounds ridiculous: how could you package the sheer deliciousness that is a sausage sizzle? But it seems like the food scientists at Arnott's have perfected it enough to make a whole product out of it.

Arnott's Marketing Manager Shannon Wright said: "There's no question that Aussies love a meat pie and a sausage sizzle.

"After the overwhelming response we received for Shapes VEGEMITE and Cheese last year, we wanted to expand our Shapes Aussie Legends range with more of these tastes Australians love.

"Shapes means Flavour You Can See, and the new Aussie Legends range will be hard to miss."

Now if you're wondering what the hell these chips will taste like when you chuck a handful into your gob then rest assured, we've been told all the 'hints of' and 'essences of' you can expect.

The Meat Pie packet 'offers sweet tomato, rich gravy beef, with subtle pepper and onion notes, layered onto buttery pastry' - sounds fancy.

While the Sausage Sizzle 'offers a charred beef, smokey and savoury barbecue bite, with notes of baked bread, caramelised onion, and sweetness from the BBQ sauce'. How they managed to squeeze all that into a chip is beyond us but we'll just have to wait and see.

Arnott's decided on the two flavours after market research told them that Aussies (very unsurprisingly) like sausage sandwiches and meat pies. So why not chuck 'em on a chip?
